Description of the procurement
1. The aim of the competition is to select the best project of the Polish Pavilion along with the internal exhibition and the adjacent area, located at the EXPO 2020 World Exhibition in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
2. The competition is open, one-stage and realization, i.e. on its basis a detailed architectural and thematic concept will be made.
3. The subject of the competition work is the implementation of a developed architectural and thematic concept of the Investment, taking into account the program requirements and guidelines contained in the Regulations and in the Competition Materials.
4. The proposed concept should most favorably implement the assumptions of Poland's participation in the Exhibition, with particular emphasis on selected subtopics proposed by the Organizer of the Exhibition: ‘Sustainability’ and ‘Mobility’.
5. The proposed functional-spatial and thematic concepts must optimally meet the expectations of the Ordering Party as regards spatial, architectural, programmatic, functional solutions and economic assumptions indicated in the Regulations and Materials for the competition and comply with the requirements of the Exhibition Organizer indicated in the Materials for the competition.
6. The proposed competition solutions must be within the assumed budget.
7. The proposed competition solutions must be feasible within the schedule imposed by the Organizer of the Exhibition in Section 1.2 of the Self-Build Pavilions Delivery Guide contained in the Competition Materials.
8. The main prize in the Competition is a cash prize and an invitation to negotiate in the form of a direct order from the author of the selected competition work.
9. The author of the winning competition work will be entrusted with the development of a detailed concept of the Polish Pavilion along with an internal exhibition and development of the adjacent area, which is a detail of the competition work, meeting the requirements of the Exhibition Organizer in full, including detailed concepts: architectural and thematic, detailed description of the sightseeing path, the Functional and Utility Programme and calculation of the planned costs of design works and calculation of the planned costs of construction works for the implementation of the Investment.
10. The author of the winning competition work will be entrusted with the implementation of services: introducing changes to the Architectural and Thematic Concept after its verification by the Organizer of the Exhibition, obtaining confirmation of the compliance of the architectural concept with the local construction law in force in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, answering questions regarding the Architectural and Thematic Concept asked during the public procurement procedure for the design, construction, technical maintenance and demolition of the Pavilion and supervising the implementation of the Architectural and Thematic Concept by the entity selected in the public procurement procedure for the design, construction, technical maintenance and demolition of the Pavilion at the design and construction stages.
